Danielle, age five, as the titular role in a home production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

When I was five years old, I witnessed a life changing piece of theater - my cousin's grade school production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. My cousin sang in the chorus, and to be honest, I really don't remember much about that particular production. But it was one of my first experiences of live theater, and the music stuck with me. As a result, my mother endured many car rides with my twin brother and I listening to the cast recording and singing the songs over and over again. After memorizing all the words to the show, my cousin, brother, and I decided to stage our own production in our Grandma's living room. Having confidence in my abilities, I decided that I should play Joseph (my brother was cast as "Some of the Main Parts" and my cousin as "The Rest of the Main Parts"). Thus began my theatrical career.

My first role in a show not cast by a family member was Munchkin #1 (no joke) in The Wizard of Oz. I was honored to grace the local high school stage as a mere fourth grader, and even had a solo line.

I went on to perform in school shows, a few more living room productions, and eventually I ended up pursuing a B.A. in Theater from Fairleigh Dickinson University. At FDU I was able to perform in multiple productions and serve as a Teaching Assistant. I also had the wonderful opportunity to study Shakespeare in England for a semester.

I currently reside in New Jersey and participate in theater and short films throughout the tri-state area. I try every day to live up to the expectations of my five-year-old self.
